A trial is set for a Timmins courtroom Thursday morning for a former mayor of Iroquois Falls.
Jim Brown is accused of threatening current town councillor Colin Kennedy in an incident late in the October election campaign. Brown was running to return to the mayor’s position, about a quarter century after holding it. He didn’t succeed.
Kennedy successfully ran for a second term as a councillor.
A judge’s decision on the charges is expected in a week or two.
