Camping and jamming part of Porquis Rock ‘n Blues Festival culture

The line-up is set and tickets are on sale for the 22nd Porquis Rock ‘n Blues Festival, July 19th to 21st .

The highlight on the line-up has to be the Downchild Blues Band, on its 50th anniversary tour… and one of the acts at the first Porquis festival.

Artistic director Colin Kennedy says another part of the festival’s culture is camping onsite… and the Friday night campfire and jam session.

“People say the pricing is very reasonable,” Kennedy notes. “I believe campsites are $35 a night and the camaraderie that’s been built over the years is great.  We see people coming back year after year.”

Kennedy says the organizing committee is excited about the entire entertainment line-up.

“You know, optimistic that we’re going to have a great festival. Looking for Mother Nature to do her part as well.  That’s always a big factor on the weekend, but with a line-up like this, you can’t go wrong.”

Porquis is on Highway 11, right at the turnoff into Iroquois Falls.
