‘Listening sessions’ for wildlife management review

A review by the province of how moose are managed in Ontario is being called “Big Mac” for “Big Game Management Advisory Committee”.

The natural resources ministry says deer, elk and black bear management are also in the mandate for the committee.

It’s holding what the ministry calls six “listening sessions” to hear from hunters and other people involved in the hunting industry.  They’re set for late next month.  The closest one to us is in North Bay on May 23rd.

The MNRF says the goal is to make hunting fairer, more accessible, and simpler.
