FREEZING RAIN? – NO PROBLEM AT AIRPORT

THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE:  Same situation today.  However, bad weather in Toronto might affect northbound flights into Timmins.  Check with your airline.

If you’re booked on an airplane leaving Timmins today, you have no worries.  The freezing rain and other sloppy weather has had no major impact on operations at the airport.

Manager Dave Dayment says significant time and resources got the runways in shape this morning,  for the different types of aircraft that land on them.

“The early morning departures for both Air Canada and Porter had some small delays, but did depart,” he says.  “The same with some of the northern communities with Thunder and Air Creebec, etc.”

Inbound flights from Toronto were also on schedule this morning.
