No royalty to reign over I.F. Winter Carnival

One attempt at something for younger kids at the Iroquois Falls Winter Carnival has failed.

Co-chair Darcy Cybolsky confirms that the pageant to choose carnival royalty from girls and boys from six to ten has been dropped, due to lack of interest.

“We had everything good to go,” Cybolsky comments. “ We bought the crowns and the sashes and stuff.  Unfortunately, not enough people signed up.  There was only two kids. I think there was one girl and one boy.”

Cybolsky adds that there’s still lots for kids and their families to do together, such as free skating, swimming, bowling and a family paint night at the Ansonville Gallery, to name a few.

The updated schedule can be found on the Iroquois Falls Winter Carnival Facebook page.

The carnival runs from Thursday until Sunday, March 17th.
