HOW MUCH SNOW? ENOUGH TO CLOSE A COCHRANE STORE

Excessive snow load on the roof of the Brisson Castle Building and Living Centre in Cochrane has compromised two sections of the roof and led to closure of the main store.

“The last storm a week ago has definitely filled in just about every valley that’s been on the roof,” comments store manager Keven Robin, “so there’s from four to eight feet of snow that’s sitting up there now.”

If you need something that’s in the 5th St. store, Robin will get it for you personally.

“We are still operating out of the warehouse,” he adds. “So we have temporarily moved our cashier and a sales clerk over to the warehouse, as well as our receiving.  So all warehouse materials are available as well as the majority of our dry good special orders that have been ordered for customers is also available.”

“I don’t want any more snow,” says Robin.  “I’m not overly excited about spring coming, because we need to get the snow off the roof before it gets any heavier,” he adds with a slight chuckle.
