If you went to a weeklong summer camp put on by Science North when you were a kid, you probably remember Cathy Stadder Wise. She has been the director of the travelling camps for over 30 years, according to marketing specialist Julia Aelick.
”She’s now getting the second generation” notes Aelick, “so now, the parents’ kids – she taught someone and now their kids are coming as well.”
The camps cover what Aelick calls “a smorgasbord of science.”
“We are offering them in three different age groups: from ages 4 to 5, 6 to 8 as well as 9 to 11.”
Some of the camps are offered in French.
