There will be no strike at Timmins Airport tomorrow.

Union of Canadian Transportation Employees regional vice-president Martin Mika tells My Cochrane Now Dot Com  that no one wants a strike, and his 19 members who do outside work at the airport will not walk off the job tomorrow.  He can’t guarantee next week, however.

Mika says the city – which operates the airport – will be given 72 hours notice of a strike.  His message to City Hall:  “We’re waiting for a phone call.”

We’ll have more throughout the day on My Cochrane Now Dot Com and Moose FM news.
