FLANNEL UP AND GET YOUR LUMBERJACK ON

Being Northern Ontarians, there’s a little bit of lumberjack in all of us.

You can celebrate your inner lumberjack, this Saturday night at the Commando Pavilion in Cochrane.

The public library is putting on a “Timber Dance” to raise money for its expansion.  Program coordinator Ardis Proulx Chedore says it’s a very cool dance with a silent auction, games and a lot of appetizers.

The dress code is basically flannel – the Cochrane Tuxedo, if you prefer.

So you can flannel up for some fun,” says Proulx Chedore. “ It can be flannel, it can be lumberjack-themed, anything that is kind of rugged outdoorsman.”

“It’s a perfect time of year to have something like this,” she adds, “because people… they’re getting cabin fever, so it gives them a chance to get out, have some fun and not have to be dressed to the nines.”

The Timber Dance is sponsored by 98.1 Moose FM and My Cochrane Now Dot Com.
