TIMMINS CHAMBER OFFERS ONE-STOP SELLING EVENT

What the Timmins Chamber of Commerce calls “a reverse trade show” is happening on Tuesday, aimed squarely at anyone with something to sell to the big boys in the local economy.

Chamber business services manager Carmen Swartz says “Meet the Purchasers” has booths that are staffed not by people selling anything.  They’re buying what you have.

“So attendees who are coming to meet the purchasers are those who are looking to sell a product or a service to either the mines or the hospital or the school boards that are in attendance,” says Swartz.

Setting up booths will be at least nine large businesses who are prospective customers to almost any kind of supplier.

“We get everything,” according to Swartz, “from caterers to mining supply and service to marketing, anything you can think of.”

You don’t have to be a Chamber member to participate, but if you are, there’s a discount on the attendance fee.

You can register online at timminschamber.com and get more information at 705-360-1900.
