NEW CHRISTMAS TRADITION ARISING IN COCHRANE

A new event that organizers hope becomes an annual Christmas tradition goes this coming Sunday night, December 16, at the Tim Horton Event Centre.

The Cochrane Ministerial Association – which encompasses all churches in town – is planning a Christmas dinner and show.

Glad Tidings Pentecostal parishioner Kayla Tousignant says everything is free, but donations will be accepted towards the community relief work the association does – in the case of a house fire, for instance.

“That’s all it is,” Tousignant notes. “You just show up and if you want to give a donation, you can and if you’d rather not, that’s okay, too.”

Tousignant says there is limited seating for the meal, which will be served at 6:00pm. “Kind of first come, first served and if you don’t make our 200 guest count, then you can come at 7pm for dessert and a performance show.”

That show will feature the churches and individuals performing Christmas music and other acts.
