NewsVanthof Pleads With Province to Keep Heat on at Resolute Mill SHARE ON: Valerie Isaac, staff Wednesday, Dec. 10th, 2014 Temiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof asked the provincial government during question period if they might keep the heat on so that the town might be able to explore other uses for the Resolute Mill in Iroquois Falls. Resolute announced on Friday that the mill will be shut down on December 22nd putting the workforce out on the street. Keeping the heat on will allow the town to look for other uses of the mill but if the heat is turned off the building will be a ruin.
