Timmins Police had issued a public advisory at the beginning of the month reminding motorists of their obligations to stop for school buses. Despite their efforts, two local drivers have been charged for failing to stop for a school bus with its Stop Arm deployed. A 41-year-old area man committed the offence on November 13th and two days later on the 15th a 62-year-old local woman committed the same offence on Maclean Drive. TPS also says a series of complaints regarding vehicles failing to stop for a school bus has been received by police regarding the Maclean Drive area south of Victoria Avenue.
