NewsAuxiliary Officers Promoted SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Sunday, Oct. 14th, 2018Some promotions are in the works with the Timmins Police Service Auxiliary Unit.Glenn Simpson and Rob Ferri are moving up the ranks due to the passing of Auxiliary Staff Sergeant Darryl Bender earlier this year.Simpson, who was an auxiliary sergeant is being promoted to auxiliary staff sergeant. Ferri is moving to auxiliary sergeant from auxiliary constable.The Timmins Police Service says both these men have put in countless hours of service for the community with pride, integrity and professionalism. TPS says they stand beside officers at all kinds of events and during service work.It adds that it is proud to make these two promotions.Chief John Gauthier and Rob Ferri.
