Recent rainfall has caused some concerns on the streets.
The Town of Cochrane says it had to close multiple roads yesterday including:
- Peltola Road
- Vezina Road
- CON 4 and 5 (from Genier to Sonar)
- Silver Clean Lake Road (Highway 579 to Dumoulin Landing
Infrastructure Services says this is because there was too much water on the roads.
The OPP added that Highway 17 from Wawa to Batchawana and Highway 101 from Wawa to Chapleau were also closed because the rain caused road washout.
As the rain continues, you are being reminded to slow down and drive cautiously.
