The Ring of Fire project is coming under fire from the provincial NDP. Northern Development and Mines critic Michael Mantha says there has been no movement on the Ring of Fire in the seven years since the first announcement of the project. Mantha says that the province had promised a development board including industry partners and First Nations partners but that has not happened. Even mining giant Cliffs Natural Resources has spent $550 million in the Ring of Fire but can no longer do business with the provincial liberals.
