Fall clean up of the cemeteries is set to start on Monday.
The Town of Cochrane says during this time, crews will be trimming shrubs, removing mementos from gravesites and other upgrades that need to be done. Director of Infrastructure Services Shane Skinner says you will have until Monday to remove anything that is not permitted on the lot. Skinner says once clean up begins, staff will be placing all items removed near the vaults of each cemetery for families to collect.
Workers have already gone through the cemeteries and tagged headstones that need to be fixed. The town says this includes headstones that need to be adjusted or placed back into the ground.
