Something new is coming to snowmobile training this year.
The province says this year it will be increasing access to safety training and licensing for sledding by bringing it to the internet. The safety and licensing courses have historically been taught in class, but the province believes that making it available online will expand training options, make it more convenient and ultimately contribute towards a safer snowmobiling environment.
The government says it has partnered with the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs to make this happen. Calls to the OFSC for comment have not yet been returned. The MyTimminsNow.Com Newsroom will update the story when more information is available.
