Hughes on Scanners for Isolated First Nations

MP Carol Hughes asked the Minister of Health if it wouldn’t be more cost-effective to buy a portable scanner for isolated First Nations residents instead of sending them hundreds of miles away for testing? The NDP MP for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing says the cost of a new cart based scanner would be the best option.

She says that the new sonographer would have to be a man to be able to lug the current scanner around.
