NewsArea Hunters in Hunting Blitz by MNR SHARE ON: Valerie Isaac, staff Friday, Nov. 21st, 2014 Moose hunting season has come to a close in the area and the MNR conducted a hunting blitz. The blitz took place the first week of moose hunting season in the north. Conservation officers were checking for hunting violations and safety issues. More than 4500 hunters were checked with 173 charges laid and 255 warnings issued. Illegal fish and wildlife were impounded during the blitz.
