A group of three new firefighters is joining the ranks of the Cochrane Fire department thanks to innovative training by the town’s fire chief. Chief Richard Vallee is training groups of firefighters instead of the more costly individual training. Vallee says this saves money for the town and is more efficient. The three new recruits are Carey Bork, Craig Crawford and John Logan. They bring the number of firefighters available to the town to 40.
