Rock on the River is kicking off its third festival tomorrow.
The Timmins Festival and Events Committee says this year’s ticket sales seem to be well ahead of last year’s. Director of Operations Lise Groulx says the event is close to selling out. This year’s concert features acts like Scott Helman, Walk Off the Earth and Billy Talent. Tomorrow night will have a more family feel with the music being lighter. Groulx says tickets will be available at the gate, but you should buy them online before the event.
Groulx says TFEC is very excited to fill Participark with music and fun, but there are a few things you need to remember if you are coming. Groulx says you will not be allowed to bring in backpacks or umbrellas.
She says in terms of parking, the best thing to do is to car pool and park near the ball hockey court across the street from Participark. Groulx says there will be shuttles and taxi’s available to make sure you get home safe.
The grounds will open at 5:00pm tomorrow and 4:30pm on Saturday. Here is the full event schedule:
