The Northeastern firefighters will officially be hitting the small screen.
Timmins City Council has agreed to have the local fire department work with Pixcom Productions and the Discovery Channel on season two of Hellfire Heroes. The show is about firefighters responding to emergency calls in different climates. Season one of the show focused on smaller towns, but this new season will feature bigger rural areas around the country.
Councillors say this is a great way to show off the fire department and Timmins.
Production crews will start following fire crews on their calls in August and stay until September. Deputy Chief Ellard Beaven says the fire department, working crews and professional TV editors will be apart of putting together the episodes.
It is not certain when the episodes will start airing.
