One Stars and Thunder band brought up not one, but two people from the audience to join.
The Arkells rocked Hollinger Park on Saturday afternoon, and by their third song was bringing up an audience member to help them with the guitar parts. Timmins resident Ryan Jolicoeur says he was picked by lead singer Max Kerman to join the band for a song.
Jolicoeur says he is a fan but had never seen the band before so he had no idea this was going to happen. He says it was an amazing experience.
He wasn’t the only person to hit the stage with the Canadian band. One of the security guards working the stag area all week was also invited to join them. Omar Peters says as soon as the band starting playing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” as their encore, he couldn’t stop himself from moving a little.Â
Peters said being on stage with that many people in the crowd didn’t bother him because he used to do theatre. He says he didn’t know the Arkells before this week, but he is now a fan.Â
