A 12-year-old concert enthusiast is having the time of her life.
Peighton Mahoney-Theriault says her love of music started at a very young age. She says her mom would take her to concerts and they started a collection of everything they got from them. She says she has a giant collection of drum sticks and guitar picks on the walls of her basement.
Mahoney-Theriault aims to be the first person on the Stars and Thunder grounds everyday. Mahoney-Theriault says so far it has worked in her favour. Last year, she got a front row seat every night and went home with guitar picks, drum sticks from Johnny Reid and hugs. She says after the day one this year she left with a hug, guitar pick and autograph from headliner Marc Dupre.
Mahoney-Theriault says she gets to the park hours before the gates open to make sure she gets “her spot”. Today the gates opened at 3:00pm and Mahoney-Theriault was sitting in line at 12:40pm.Â
Mahoney-Theriault says she loves all kinds of music. She is looking forward to seeing Our Lady Peace, The Beach Boys and Bryan Adams.Â
She says having Stars and Thunder in Timmins is the absolute best because it’s a full week of live and great music.
