Summer is kicking off in a fun way this year.
The Downtown Timmins BIA is starting the summer with the launch of its annual Urban Park Market and new Stars and Thunder Village. All of the downtown core will be blocked off next week for free Stars and Thunder celebrations. Executive Director Noella Rinaldo says the week will feature performers on a big stage, the farmers market and family activities.
Rinaldo says this is a great way to bring the community together throughout the week and the rest of the summer. She says its also a great way to bring people into the downtown core to see what it has to offer.
The Stars and Thunder Village will kick off at 11:00am on Monday. Rinaldo says it will then run from 9:00am to 3:00pm Tuesday until Friday.
Rinaldo says once the festival is over, the Urban Park will go back to its regular Wednesday through Friday schedule. Click here for more information on performances and activities.
