The driver killed in a Highway 11 collision has been identified.
The OPP says yesterday officers responded to a fatal collision that closed down Highway 11 between Kapuskasing and Hearst. Officers say the collision involved a transport and a car. Highway 11 was closed down for several hours while police investigated and has since re-opened.
19-year-old Shawn Grondin from Schumacher has been identified as the driver of the car. Police say the investigation is still ongoing and a post-mortem exam is scheduled for tomorrow.
The OPP says it will reveal more information when it’s available.
