Two organizations are teaming up to help local shoppers.
The Lion’s Club and Dionne’s Valu-Mart are working together to provide a better shopping experience for people with mobility issues. Lion’s member Gerry Robichaud says he noticed that this was an issue when his friend had problems doing a simple grocery shop while attached to an oxygen tank. Robichaud says shoppers with mobility issues cause by age, diabetes, and other ailments may have a harder time getting around the store.
The club and store have teamed up to share the cost of a new mobility shopping cart. He says he hopes this helps to make grocery shopping easier for people who may need it.
