Registration is now open for Science North’s summer classes in Timmins.

Science North says it will be bringing a few different day camps to the city to help expand kid’s curiosity and knowledge around science. Marketing Specialist Julia Aelick says the centres is bringing  English classes to 35 northern communities, including Cochrane, to expand its reach.

The camps are geared towards kids between four and eight years old including:

  • Summer Science Camp

Ages four to five – Each day takes a look at a different science and highlights the contributions that women have made in that field. Whether space, geology, ocean research or physics, girls will have the chance to explore these worlds from their own perspectives with lots of hands on activities.

  • Summer Science Camp

Ages six to eight – Each day takes a look at a different science and highlights the contributions that women have made in that field. Whether space, geology, ocean research or physics, girls will have the chance to explore these worlds from their own perspectives with lots of hands on activities.

Aelick says the English camps run from July 3rd to 6th.
