You can colour it up for the Seizure and Brain Injury Centre this weekend.
On Saturday the centre is celebrating Brain Awareness Month with a five kilometre colour walk or run around Gillies Lake in Timmins while getting prayed with coloured chalk and water. Executive Director Rhonda Latendresse says the event costs $20 for adults and $10 for children. Latendresse says all the money will go towards running various programs that serve the region.
She says they centre decided to put on a colour run to celebrate and bring awareness because it’s different and fun for all.
The registration starts at 10:00am at the Children’s Treatment Centre and the run begins at 11:00am. The event will also have music, displays, face-painting and a barbecue.
