Summer forecasts are showing an average feeling summer ahead.
The Weather Network is releasing its summer forecast for June, July and August and says that temperatures will be fairly average in the northern Ontario region. Meteorologist Michael Carter says even through the temperatures are average, the timing will be a little different this year. Carter says it looks like it will feel very warm in the beginning of summer, but that heat will taper off by early August.
Carter says this doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be a shorter summer, just one with less extremes. He adds that with the steady weather, more rain accumulation could be heading our way.
He says the region did experience a sluggish start to the warmer weather, but when it starts it will hit hard. Carter adds that everyone can expect some overall fun in the sun this summer.
