The Cochrane Clean-Up Challenge starts today.
The town says this is a time when you and your neighbours can team up to get rid of all your spring clean-up waste. The Town of Cochrane says while it will not be providing roadside pick up, the Public Works yard will be available for all to bring their garbage between now and Sunday. Public Works says the site of Second Street will be taking all tires, electronics and household batteries that need to be recycled between noon and 8:00pm.
The town says residential tipping fees will also be waived at the landfill site in Fournier. It says if anyone over the age of 65 needs help transporting waste to the municipal yard, they can call the Infrastructure Service Office at 705-272-5086.Â
