Out of town artists are being featured at the Cochrane Art Club’s first visiting exhibition.
The club says the Cochrane Art Gallery will be filled with the Timmins Porcupine Art Club’s “Dark in Light” exhibition for the month of May. The club says this is the first time it has hosted an out of town exhibition since starting 40 years ago.
It says this exhibition is only the start for the club. Cochrane will be hosting the Northern Ontario Artists Association Annual Conference and Exhibition in September of 2019. The Cochrane Art Club say this will feature work and people from northern communities like Elliot Lake, Sudbury, North Bay, Burkes Falls, Manitoulin Island, Timmins, Kapuskasing and Kirkland Lake.
The current exhibition will be open until May 28th.
