Angus Dissapointed At Failure To Include FedNor Within Broadband Consultaiton Process

One Northern MP feels the fact FedNor’s not included in the broadband consultation process for rural parts of Canada is astonishing.

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says the Liberals have left FedNor out of the consultation process with other municipal, provincial and regional development agencies, and he wants to know why.

Angus’ issue with the Liberals handling of FedNor dates back to their federal election win in 2015, when the party cancelled FedNor’s involvement in upcoming broadband projects.

Angus says the north has been fighting with underfunded regional economic development funding for quite a while, but considering how FedNor has helped alleviate those issues, he sees no reason for them to be kept from an issue such as broadband connectivity.
