There will be a Lumberjack Festival for Kapuskasing in 2018.

Town council made the move official Monday opting to go ahead with the festival despite the fact they will not be bringing back Beauce Carnival.

Town CAO Guylain Baril says they decided they will go ahead with the festival despite the risk of a small deficit.

Baril says despite not having the carnival available, they are on the lookout for entertainment that will suitable for kids.
