Kapuskasing Resident Seeking Ontario PC Nomination for Mushkegowuk-James Bay

A Kapuskasing resident is putting himself into the nominations for the Ontario Progressive Conservative’s Mushkegowuk-James Bay candidacy.

Andre Robichaud, who formerly has been the Economic Development Officer for the town of Kapuskasing as well as a candidate representing the Ontario PC’s in the 2015 Federal Elections, announced his decision Tuesday at the Kapuskasing Golf Club.

Robichaud, who lost out to the NDP’s Carol Hughes in the running for MP of Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing back in 2015, will take another shot at gaining office.

He says the reason he is back is simple, northerners deserve an equal voice at the table.

Robichaud says he is back to fight to give a voice to francophone affairs within the north.

Robichaud is the only candidate nominated for the riding by the Ontario PC Party at this time. He joins fellow Kapuskasing resident Guy Bourgouin, who is seeking NDP nomination for the riding.
