The OPP is warning the Cochrane community to continue to beware of the ongoing Canada Revenue Agency scam circulating the Northern Ontario area.
Media Officer Stephanie Belec says the CRA scam has been a cause for concern for the OPP.
Belec says the scam continues by either email or phone as someone claiming to be from the CRA will request personal information from you.
She says never give them your information, as the CRA will never send you a link or ask you to divulge such personal or financial information.
Belec also says if you suspect you are a possible victim of fraud call your local police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
