Former CAO One of Two Men Arrested For Defrauding Town of Kapuskasing

Two men, including a former Chief Administrative Officer, have been arrested on the charge of defrauding the town of Kapuskasing.

Members of the James Bay Detachments began an investigation back on June 6th, 2017 into allegations of fraud.

A Police investigation has revealed that between September of 2014 and February of 2015  $800,000 was stolen from the municipality.

As a result, 64-year-old Yvan Brousseau from Chrysler, a former CAO of Kapuskasing has been arrested on a charge of fraud over $5,000.

As well, 54-year-old Karl Hollett from Napanee, the former owner of Strathcona Energy group was also charged with fraud over $5,000.

The two men have been scheduled to appear in Kapuskasing court on March 19th.
