Former CAO One of Two Men Arrested For Defrauding Town of Kapuskasing

Two men, including a former Chief Administrative Officer, have been arrested on the charge of defrauding the town of Kapuskasing.

Members of the James Bay Detachments began an investigation back on June 6^th, 2017 into allegations of fraud.

A Police investigation has revealed that between September of 2014 and February of 2015  $800,000 was stolen from the municipality.

As a result, 64-year-old Yvan Brousseau from Chrysler, a former CAO of Kapuskasing has been arrested on a charge of fraud over $5,000.

As well, 54-year-old Karl Hollett from Napanee, the former owner of Strathcona Energy group was also charged with fraud over $5,000.

The two men have been scheduled to appear in Kapuskasing court on March 19^th.
