(NHL)  The Toronto Maple Leafs blew a 2 goal lead in the third period as the Philadelphia Flyers came back to beat the Leafs 3-2 in overtime. It’s Toronto’s 4th straight loss. In other action the St. Louis Blues defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-1, Colorado won their 8th straight game 5-3 over San Jose, Boston beat the Islanders 5-2 , the Rangers edged Buffalo 4-3 while Vegas skated to a 4-1 win over Tampa bay.

(NBA)  Toronto Raptors  DeMar DeRozan has been selected as an NBA All-Star for the fourth time in his nine-year career. DeRozan will be a starter for the second straight season.

(Tennis)  Third-seeded Grigor Dimitrov has advanced to the fourth round at the Australian Open after beating Andrey Rublev. Kyle Edmund also advanced, overcoming Nikoloz Basilashvili and  Pablo Carreno Busta beat Gilles Muller. On the women’s side Elina Svitolina ended 15-year-old Marta Kostyuk’s run, Svitolina will next play Denisa Allertova, who beat Magda Linette.
