TUITION REFUNDS FOR NORTHERN COLLEGE STUDENTS

Tuition refunds are now available to those college students who dropped out of programs because of the strike.

Northern College says full-time students who dropped out of classes before December 6th will be getting their money back.

President Fred Gibbons says about 10 per cent of their students have left their programs.

Gibbons says students who continued classes and have encored unexpected expenses can apply for relief funding through the college.

Gibbons say students who have withdrawn and have student loans from the government will be getting a letter or phone call on the loans next steps.

He adds that students who remain in classes and have encored unexpected expenses can apply for relief funding through the college up to 500 dollars.
