(NBA) The Toronto Raptors’ ran to a 126-113 victory over the Phoenix Suns last night at the ACC, Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan led the Rap’s with 20 points apiece. It’s Toronto’s fourth consecutive win.
(NHL) The St. Louis Blues beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 last night snapping the Habs 5 game win streak. In other action Detroit thumped Winnipeg 5-1 and Vancouver shut out Carolina 3-0.
(Curling) Winnipeg’s Jennifer Jones improved to 5-0 in the afternoon game at the Roar of the Rings Tournament in Ottawa yesterday. Jones needed an extra end to get by Casey Scheidegger of Lethbridge, Alta., 8-7. In other action Edmonton’s Val Sweeting stayed in the mix after topping Winnipeg’s Michelle Englot 8-5 while on the Men’s side Calgary’s Kevin Koe was alone in first place at 5-0 after topping the previously unbeaten Mike McEwen of Winnipeg 6-5 and Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, dropped an 8-6 decision to Saskatoon’s Steve Laycock in the other afternoon men’s game.
