The Santa Parade occurred last night in Cochrane, with hundreds of parents and children gathering roadside to wave as jolly old saint nick rolled by. Organizers say it was their biggest turnout so far, as mild weather made for an exceptionally comfortable event. Fireworks near the Tim Horton Event Centre sealed the magical night, which saw the inclusion of a new float for the living nativity. The living nativity is a live presentation of the birth of Christ, using real animals, put on by the Cochrane ministerial each year. The Living Nativity will occur tonight, doors opening 6pm, in the field to the east of Genier Road across from the Event Centre, and it is free, though seating is limited.
