Upgrades are coming to the Timmins and District Hospital thanks to some provincial funding.
The hospital is getting $120,000 from Ontario’s Hospital Energy Efficiency Program. Hospital Chief of Finance Bryan Bennetts says this money will be going towards new exterior windows.
Bennetts says this upgrade is not only aesthetically good, but will also help the hospital save on energy spending.
He says this frees up some money in the capital funds to replace some of the worn down flooring in a few patient rooms.
