(NBA)   The Toronto Raptors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 122-118 in a back and forth game that saw DeMar Derozan score 33 points to lead Toronto.  The Raptors now head on the road for three straight games, beginning Sunday in Boston.

(NHL)   Leon Draisaitl scored in overtime to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils last night. In other action the Minnesota Wild shut out the Montreal Canadiens 3-0, Calgary doubled Detroit 6-3 and Anaheim beat Vancouver 4-1

(NFL)   The Seattle Seahawks overcame injury adversity to beat the Arizona Cardinals 22-16 in the NFL Thursday nighter. At least seven players left the game with injuries, including Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman who ruptured his achilles and will miss the rest of the season.
