(MLB)  The Houston Astros won a World Series game for the first time in their 56 seasons. George Springer hit a two-run homer off Brandon McCarthy in the 11th inning as the Astros outlasted the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-6 in a thriller last night to tie the World Series at one game apiece. There were 8 home runs hit between the two teams which is a World Series record.

(NBA)  The Golden State Warriors held off the Toronto Raptors 117-112 last night. Steph Curry scored 30 points for Golden State while DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 24.

(NHL)  Only a couple of games in the NHL last night, St Louis beat Calgary 5-2 while Columbus skated to a 5-1 win over Buffalo.

(MLS)  The Vancouver Whitecaps thumped the San Jose Earthquakes 5-0 in Major League Soccer’s single-elimination knockout round last night, The Whitecaps will now face the Seattle Sounders while Toronto FC will face the New York Red Bulls who cruised by the Chicago Fire 4-0.
