Oil Respect Tour Stops In Kapuskasing To Talk Energy East Pipeline Cancellation

TransCanada’s decision to cancel a proposed Energy East pipeline project has disappointed many across the country.

CAODC Vice President Communications John Bayko is one of them.

Bayko made a stop in Kapuskasing last Wednesday to speak about the importance of the Canadian Oil and Gas sector during his Oil Respect Tour across Canada.

He says the CAODC were extremely disappointed with the Energy East cancellation, and he understands those frustrations are reflected by the Kapuskasing community.

Bayko says he got an overwhelming sense of disappointment from the community regarding the cancellation of the project.

The proposed Energy East pipeline project included roughly 3,000 kilometres of existing pipeline to be divided in half to 1,500 kilometres of pipeline and was cancelled on October 5th.
