Northern College To Keep Learning Services Available To Students During Strike

College classes across the province are cancelled while college faculty members are on strike.

The strike started today after OPSEU and the College Employer Council failed to produce a tentative collective agreement.

Acting Northern College President Dr. Audrey Penner says college services such as learning resource rooms and the library are still open to students.

Penner says even though there are no classes, students can still learn and gain experience by volunteering in their chosen fields.

She says it is unknown how long the strike will last.
