The Porcupine Health Unit is hosting a series of senior health fairs across the region throughout the end of October.
Public Health Nurse Joanne Bennett says information will be provided to those members regarding their community services as well as topics including fraud protection, healthy nutrition, wills and estates and even anxiety reduction.
Bennett says this is a great opportunity to showcase some of their services, but also for elder community members to get information from a health professional, pharmacist or dietitian in-person.
She also says that along with their booths and speakers they will also be offering the influenza vaccine to older adults.
The PHU will be visiting Cochrane on Monday, October 30th at the Civic Centre between 1:00pm and 5:00pm.
