(MLB)   The Toronto Blue Jays won their third game in a row edging the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 last night. Marco Estrada who allowed two runs on four hits while striking out seven over five innings got the win and Ryan Goins homered for the Jays. In other action the Cleveland Indians extended baseball’s longest winning streak since 2002 to 19 games with an 11-0 blowout of the Detroit Tigers.

(NFL)   The first NFL Monday nighter of the season was a double header. The early game saw the Minnesota Vikings beat New Orleans 29-19. Vikings QB Sam Bradford passed for 346 yards and three touchdowns. The late game saw the Denver Broncos block a last second field goal to escape with a 24-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
