Starting today, it’s CreeFest. Cochrane Mayor Peter Politis says the town will play host to the 2017 National Treaties 1 through 11 Conference. Hundreds of indigenous leaders will congregate Tuesday through Thursday of this week, and the event will be attended by both federal and provincial Ministers of Indigenous Affairs. CreeFest is being co-hosted by the town of Cochrane and the Taykwa Tagamou Nation.
